Tottenham ready to let go of Gareth Bale at the end of this season

Gareth Bale-Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are not willing to renew Gareth Bale’s loan spell at the end of this season.

The Welshman has struggled to live up to the expectations since his return to the London club and it seems that he will return to Real Madrid when his loan deal is over.

Gareth Bale was brought in to transform the Tottenham attack and help them challenge for the Premier League title.

However, the Real Madrid winger has struggled with injuries and dip in form.

It is clear that Gareth Bale is no longer the player he used to be and it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid manage to offload him permanently at the end of this season.

Tottenham had the option of signing the player permanently if the loan deal had panned out as expected.

The Welshman had fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid before his move to Tottenham and he is unlikely to be involved under Zidane next season either.

It remains to be seen if he can secure a move away from the Spanish club and resurrect his career with regular first-team football.

A player of his calibre needs to play more often and he simply has not been able to prove his fitness to Mourinho so far. It will be interesting to see if he can turn around his form at Spurs during the second half of the season now.
