Real Madrid must fulfill these conditions to sign Sergio Reguilon back

Zinedine Zidane-Real Madrid

Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilon joined Tottenham at the start of this season and he has been a very impressive signing for the London club so far.

The 23-year-old has managed to adapt to the Premier League with ease and he’s thriving in Jose Mourinho’s system.

On the other hand, Real Madrid are stuck with a declining Marcelo and it is believed that the Spanish outfit want to bring Sergio Reguilon back to the club at the end of this season.

Real Madrid have a buy-back clause in the player’s contract which will allow them to bring the defender back to Santiago Bernabeu for 40 million euros.

Apart from the financial condition, Real Madrid will have to fulfil some other important conditions in order to sign the Spaniard.

Apparently, Sergio Reguilon will only consider returning to Real Madrid if Marcelo is sold in the summer. The Brazilian has regressed a lot but he still holds a regular starting berth at the club.

The second condition is that Zinedine Zidane must guarantee ample playing time for the Spanish left-back if he returns to the club.

Sergio Reguilon needs to play regularly in order to achieve his potential and it makes sense that he wants game time assurances before returning to the Spanish club.

It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to meet the conditions in order to bring the Spurs ace back to the club next summer.
