Tottenham transfer Roundup: Weghorst, Lingard, Sorloth, Dias

Tottenham Hotspur confirmed one COVID19 positive in latest testing

Tottenham have been quite busy in the transfer market this summer and they have already completed the signings of Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale and Hojbjerg.

However, Jose Mourinho is still looking to improve his attacking options before the transfer window closes.

The London club have been linked with a move for the Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst.

The Bundesliga striker has done well over the past year and he could be the ideal backup for Harry Kane. He has the quality and the experience to settle in and make an immediate impact in the Premier League as well.

Furthermore, Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has been linked with a move to Tottenham as well and it appears that the 27 year old is open to the transfer.

He has worked with Jose Mourinho before and the Portuguese managed to get the best out of him at Old Trafford. It is no surprise that both parties are looking for a reunion once again.

Alexander Sorloth has been linked with a move to the London club as well. The player was on loan at Trabzonspor last year and he bagged 33 goals for them. He was expected to join RB Leipzig this summer but the move to Germany has fallen through and the likes of Spurs and United have been mentioned as potential destinations.

Finally, Tottenham are thought to be looking at a defender as well and Benfica’s Ruben Dias has been a long term target.

It will be interesting to see if the Londoners come forward with a bid for him this summer.

In terms of outgoings, the likes of Dele Alli, Aurier and Sessegnon have been linked with moves away from the club.
