Ndombele reveals how Daniel Levy saved his Spurs career

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has revealed that a chat with Daniel Levy regarding his lack of playing time convinced him to continue at the London club and helped him turn around his Spurs career.

The France midfielder said to the Sun: “If a chairman is seeing something that he is not happy with, it’s normal that he wants to speak to the player about that.

“It was a good meeting, I listened to what he had to say and he listened to me, too.

“Yeah, perhaps if I’m still at Tottenham today it’s thanks to that meeting.”

The Frenchman initially struggled under former manager Jose Mourinho but he ended up winning the trust of the Portuguese manager eventually.

Before his move to Tottenham, Ndombele was regarded as one of the finest midfield prospects around Europe and his performances for Lyon convinced the Premier League club to spend £65 million on him.

It will be interesting to see if he can establish himself as a key player under Nuno Espirito Santo now and help Tottenham finish the season strongly.

Rudiger in talks with Spurs

Meanwhile, Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is in talks with Tottenham regarding a summer transfer.

The German international will be a free agent at the end of this season and he has struggled to reach an agreement with Chelsea regarding a new deal.

The reliable journalist claims that the player has held talks with Juventus, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain as well and he is set to join one of the four clubs.

Tottenham could use another quality defender alongside Cristian Romero and Rudiger has proven himself as one of the best centre backs in the Premier League this season.

If Spurs can sign him from their bitter rivals on a free transfer it could go down as one of their best signings in recent years.
