Watford

Watford finally ended their woeful run of eleven without a win as they beat Aston Villa in their last game with a header from Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Dennis, enough to settle the game.

The win lifted Roy Hodgson’s side out of the bottom two into 18th place. They are now four points behind 17th-placed Newcastle United.

They remain in danger of relegation though and are sitting five points worse off than at this stage in the 2019/20 season when they got relegated.

Given the quality of their opponent, they will fancy their chances of getting a good result in this game.

Possible Watford starting line-up

Ben Foster; Kiko Femenia, Craig Cathcart, Samir, Hassane Kamara; Juraj Kucka, Edo Kayembe, Moussa Sissoko; Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis, Ken Sema.

Injured: Nicolas Nkoulou

Doubtful: Peter Etebo

Suspended: None

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace meanwhile could not hold onto the end last Saturday as they eventually succumbed to a disappointing 1-0 loss to Chelsea.

Despite fashioning out a lot of chances, Patrick Vieira’s side could not make the most of their opportunities and left the game with nothing to show. The loss ended their three-game unbeaten run (W1, D2), but also extended their winless run in all competitions to three games.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are also winless in six PL games (D3, L3) and come into this round of games sitting in 13th place. With 26 points on the board, they are eight points ahead of the relegation zone.

That point difference is not large enough to rule them out of the Premier League battle given that it will take only a few disappointing results for that lead to be wiped out.

But given their quality, they will fancy their chances of getting a good result when they visit Vicarage road.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-up

Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Andersen, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Will Hughes, Connor Gallagher, Jeffrey Schlupp; Michael Olise, Odsonne Edouard, Wilfried Zaha.

Injured: Nathan Ferguson

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
