RB Leipzig

Leipzig will begin their life under new boss Domenico Tedesco this Saturday when they face struggling Wolfsburg in the 15th game of the 2021/22 season.

The hosts sacked head coach Jesse Marsch after suffering a 2-1 loss to Union Berlin last weekend.

The loss was their sixth loss this season, pushing them to 11th place on the league table, 14 points behind Bayern Munich in first.

However, despite the loss of their manager, the home side under the management of Achim Beierlorzer played well in the Champions League, where they faced Man City in midweek. Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Andre Silva secured a 2-1 win for the Germans and ensured that they progress to the next round of the Europa League.

They will now look to build on that win against Wolfsburg and move within touching distance of the top four places in the league.

Possible RB Leipzig starting line-ups

Peter Gulacsi; Lukas Klostermann, Josko Gvardiol; Nordi Mukiele, Angelino; Tyler Adams, Konrad Laimer; Christopher Nkunku, Emil Forsberg, Dominik Szoboszlai; Andre Silva.

Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to Leipzig this weekend.

After going four-game unbeaten between October and November, the visitors have now lost their last two league games by an aggregate scoreline of 10-1.

First, they were beaten 4-1 by FC Koln a fortnight ago in the Rhine derby before losing 6-0 at home to Freiburg in their last outing. The result pushed them down to 13th on the league standings, level on points with Leipzig and Frankfurt with an inferior goal difference.

With a chance to leapfrog Leipzig presenting itself in this game, Adi Hütter will expect a reaction from his charges. They will also look to avoid a third-straight defeat for the first time since March when they went on a seven-game losing streak in all competitions under former boss Marco Rose.

Possible Monchengladbach starting line-ups

Yann Sommer; Matthias Ginter, Nico Elvedi, Ramy Bensebaini; Patrick Herrmann, Denis Zakaria, Kouadio Kone, Joe Scally; Jonas Hofmann; Lars Stindl, Breel Embolo.

Injured: Jordan Beyer
