Michail Antonio of West Ham United celebrates against Tottenham Hotspur

West Ham United picked up a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League earlier today.

Michail Antonio scored the only goal of the game for the Hammers in the 72nd minute to secure all three points for David Moyes side.

Here at Anytime football, we look at the three major talking points from tonight’s contest.

Michail Antonio is in the form of his life

The West Ham forward has been in exceptional form this season and he is one of the main reasons why the Hammers are currently 4th in the league table.

Antonio has scored six goals in eight Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far and he has picked up three assists along the way as well.

Harry Kane continues to disappoint

The England international has had a disappointing campaign so far and he failed to get on the score sheet for Tottenham once again.

The 28-year-old striker has scored just once in eight Premier League appearances so far and Tottenham will need him firing on all cylinders in order to finish the season strongly.

Nuno espirito Santo is walking on thin ice

The Tottenham Hotspur manager is under immense pressure after his side’s poor start to the season and he will have to turn things around quickly in order to keep his job.

The Londoners have lost four of their last six Premier League matches and a club of their stature should be doing much better.

Despite spending heavily during the summer transfer window Tottenham have failed to live up to the expectations so far this season and they have scored just nine goals in nine Premier League matches.

With the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min at their disposal, the Tottenham attack will be expected to do much better and it remains to be seen whether Nuno can get the best out of his star players in the coming weeks.
