Messi and Suarez planning for a reunion in future at MLS

Messi's ultimate XI-Teammates with most outings

The former Barcelona stars are looking to play together in MLS in future.

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez had forged a great friendship at Barcelona and they continue to be better companions even after leaving the Nou Camp.

Suarez was the first to leave the Catalan giants when Ronald Koeman told the Uruguayan wouldn’t be part of his plans upon taking the charge last year. He eventually joined Atletico Madrid for a meagre transfer fee.

It turned out to be a big regret for Barca as Suarez led Atletico to the La Liga title last season.

The Uruguayan striker’s departure also left Messi disappointed and the Argentine criticised the Catalan club that his strike partner deserved a better farewell.

Neither Messi received a grand farewell as many Blaugrana fans would have dreamt of, being forced to leave the Nou Camp due to financial reasons in the recent summer window.

The 34-year-old sealed a sensational free transfer to French giants PSG.

According to Mirror, Suarez and Messi are planning for a reunion at MLS club Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, in future.

Suarez, 34, has a contract running until next summer at Wanda Metropolitano but is expected to sign a renewal as he wants to remain at the highest level for next year’s World Cup.

Messi’s contract at the French capital expires in 2023 and it remains to be seen whether he would look to prolong his career to compete with his rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

MLS outfit Inter Miami have been often linked with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner and there is a great chance he could spend the final years with them.
