West Ham plotting transfer raid on London rivals Chelsea for Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham-Chelsea

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is thought to be frustrated with the lack of regular first-team action at Stamford Bridge this season.

The 23-year-old has 12 goals to his name so far this season, but he is not a key starter for Thomas Tuchel.

Abraham needs to play regularly in order to continue his development and cement his place in the England squad. West Ham are keeping tabs on the player ahead of the summer window.

It will be interesting to see if the new Chelsea manager is willing to give him an extended run in the starting lineup over the coming months.

A move to West Ham would be ideal for the 23-year-old. The Hammers are in desperate need of a quality goal scorer and Abraham is likely to play more often at West Ham.

Recently Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard signed for the Hammers on loan and the move has resurrected his career. Abraham will be hoping to follow a similar path if he joins the Hammers.

West Ham sold Sebastien Haller earlier in the season and they opted against signing a striker midway through the season. The Hammers are expected to splash out on a quality striker in the summer and Abraham would be a superb long term signing for them.

The 23-year-old has already proven his quality in the Premier League with Chelsea and he will only get better with experience and game time.

He has the potential to develop into a star for West Ham and Hammers must do everything in their power to snap him up this summer.
