West Ham ready to double 21-year-old’s salary to prevent Chelsea move

West Ham's Delcan Rice is linked to Chelsea transfer

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and the Hammers are willing to pay him big money in order to keep him at the club beyond this summer.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Chelsea and it will be interesting to see if the Blues come in with a concrete offer for the player at the end of this season.

Apparently Declan rice is valued at 80 million pounds by the Hammers.

Rice is one of the most talented young players in England right now and it is no surprise that the top clubs want to sign him.

However, West Ham are willing to increase his wages from 60000 pounds to 120000 pounds a week in order to convince him to stay.

A player of Declan Rice’ quality will want to play European football eventually and if West Ham do not progress as a club they will struggle to hold onto players like him.

Chelsea can provide him with a much bigger platform to showcase his talent and they can offer him regular European football as well.

Furthermore, Declan Rice will feel that he has something left to prove at Stamford Bridge.

Rice was let go by Chelsea as an Academy graduate and he will want to prove his quality at the London club in future.

Currently, the midfielder has a contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024 but the new deal will extend his stay at the London stadium.

As per the reports, David Sullivan and David Gold are committed to keeping the midfielder at the club and the West ham owners are looking to give him a pay rise soon.
