The Dutch midfielder allegedly wants to leave the Catalan club.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong‘s shocking exit links have emerged as the Dutchman has allegedly become unhappy with the club’s current crisis.

De Jong moved to Barca from Ajax in the summer of 2019 for a reported €75m deal and has since been an indisputable starter.

The 23-year-old’s importance has grown since his compatriot Ronald Koeman took charge as the manager of the Catalan club.

Now, De Jong is said to be considering leaving the Nou Camp as believes Barca can’t compete for the title due to the crisis they are currently undergoing.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Barca and as a consequence of their financial depravity, they have lost Lionel Messi to PSG while they are struggling to register new signings: Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia.

De Jong’s shocking links have reportedly alerted the likes of Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus, who are keen on signing him should he leave the Nou Camp.

It remains to be seen how concrete these reports are as De Jong is one of the best players in the current squad and Barca won’t simply allow him to walk away from the club.

Furthermore, even if he forces a move, Barca would at least demand his transfer fee of €75m, which would make things difficult for the Serie A duo.

Juve are currently prioritising a move for Manuel Locatelli meanwhile Rossoneri are in the market for an advanced creative midfielder.
