Lazio 5-1 Verona Immobile scored a hat-trick

Lazio picked up a 5-1 win over Verona in the Serie A last night.

Goals from Ciro Immobile, Joaquin Correa and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ensured a mammoth win for the away side.

Immobile scored a hat-trick to take himself up to the top of the scoring charts in the Italian league as well as in Europe.

The Lazio star is now level on top of the European scoring charts with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski. It will be interesting to see who manages to secure the coveted European golden boot this season.

Immobile will be hoping to beat Ronaldo to the Serie A golden boot as well.

Meanwhile, the win takes Lazio up to fourth in the table with two games to play. They will be hoping to finish as the Serie A runners up given the season they had before the lockdown.

Lazio were breathing down Juventus’ necks in the title race back then but they lost their momentum after the restart and Juventus have now secured the Scudetto

However, Lazio are just one point behind second placed Inter Milan and they will fancy their chances of overtaking Antonio Conte’s side.

As for Verona, they are 9th in the table and they will be hoping to finish as high as possible by winning the remaining games.

Lazio will be keen on playing Champions league football next year and they will be determined to win their last two games.
