The Rossoneri want to secure the future of some of the key players in the squad

AC Milan have successfully renewed the deals for Simon Kjaer and Alexis Saelemakers.

Kjaer’s future had been subject to speculation as his previous deal was set to expire next summer. However, Milan has managed to extend Dane’s contract until 2024.

Saelemakers, who has been impressive for Rosonerri since he arrived in 2019, has agreed to a new deal until 2026.

But Milan are not done with it as they want to secure the future of three more key players: Rafael LeaoTheo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer, reports SempreMilan.

Leao has been a catalyst in the attack for Stefano Piolo’s side this season, racking up four goals and an assist in 10 Serie A games. It will be only a matter of time before the Portuguese star gets recognized as one of the best young talents in Europe.

Theo has been arguably among the best full-backs in Europe over the last two seasons thanks to his revival at San Siro.

The French left-back turns out to be one of the key players for Pioli and his presence is necessary for Milan to reach newer heights in the coming seasons. However, it would be an uphill task for them to keep hold of Theo as European giants like PSG are said to be keeping tabs on him.

Ismael Bennacer has been a staple in the midfield since his transfer from Empoli. The Algerian’s responsibility could grow higher if Franck Kessie leaves San Siro next summer.

Milan are staking their claim for Scudetto after winning 9 out of 10 games in Serie A this season.

However, their Champions League form is a little worrying, having lost three consecutive games in the group stage.
