Leeds United slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to Everton in the Premier League earlier tonight.

The Toffees managed to score two first half goals and they held on to their advantage in the second half to grind out all three points.

Carlo Ancelotti will be relieved to the performance of this players after their recent dip in form and it will be interesting to see if Everton can build on this and go on a winning run now.

As for Leeds, they have been quite inconsistent this season and Bielsa will have to sort out their defensive problems if the whites are to secure a respectable finish in the Premier League this year.

Sigurdsson scored the opening goal of the game with a side footed finish after Lucas Digne found him in the box with a well placed cross on the 9th minute.

Leeds had the chance to score the equaliser soon after but Alioski hit the crossbar with a powerful effort.

Dominic Calvert Lewin doubled Everton’s advantage four minutes before half time with a far post header.

The home side got back into the game three minutes into the second half when Raphinha scored after being set up by Patrick Bamford.

Robin Olsen produced a series of superb saves to deny Leeds after that and Bamford could have got on the scoresheet but his header came back off the crossbar late on in the game.

Leeds are now 11th in the Premier League table after tonight’s defeat and Everton are up to 6th with 36 points.
