Jorge Mendes wants Atletico Madrid to sell Joao Felix in January, Manchester City prepared to snap him up

Joao Felix-Atletico Madrid

Joao Felix has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid and the player’s agent Jorge Mendes has informed the Spanish club that he wants his client to be sold when the transfer window reopens in January.

As per AS, the Spanish outfit are willing to listen to offers for the 22-year-old attacker and they will let him leave midway through the season if a suitable bid comes in.

The Portuguese international was rated as one of the best young players in the world when he joined Atletico Madrid for a fee of around £113 million, three years ago.

However, the player has fallen down the pecking order since then and he is struggling to fulfil his potential at Wanda Metropolitano.

Meanwhile, Fichajes are now claiming that Premier League giants Manchester City are prepared to provide him with an exit route next month and it will be interesting to see if they can agree on a fee with the Spanish giants.

Manchester City are expected to lose Ferran Torres who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Felix could be an ideal replacement.

Felix has shown his exceptional talent from time to time and he has a massive future ahead of him.  A move to the Premier League could give him the fresh start he needs right now and working with a world-class manager like Pep Guardiola will certainly help him recapture his sharpness.

Furthermore, the Premier League outfit are also keeping tabs on the AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as per Calciomercato.

The player is currently in talks regarding a contract extension with the Italian club and Pep Guardiola is ready to swoop in if the two parties fail to reach an agreement.
