The French striker has been in scintillating form of late, scoring goals consistently for the Blues.

Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo has confirmed the club’s interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, whom the Italian boss sees as a handy option to strengthen the attack.

Giroud has been in some form of late this season, scoring eight goals in the last eight appearances.

The 34-year-old has also been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, with him looking desperate for a place in the national team for Euros later this year.

Amidst the transfer speculations, Juve gaffer Pirlo has said that Giroud would prove to be handy for his side when the former AC Milan ace was about the French man’s move to Turin.

Pirlo also emphasized about the fact his side needing reinforcements in the attack, especially in the striker position as he wants to provide cover to stars like Alvaro Morata, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

“The window opens tomorrow, we already discussed with the club what we want to do and if there are any opportunities. Maybe a striker that can rotate with our strikers.”

The Bianconeri have not been at their best this season as they currently sit fifth in the league table, ten points behind the leaders AC Milan.

Giroud’s contract with the Blues will run this summer and the chances are less for the former Arsenal man to continue playing under Frank Lampard.

Juve will also face competition from top clubs like Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
