Former Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini scored a hat-trick within eight minutes, as Shandong Luneng registered a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against Dalian Pro.

Former Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini scored a hat-trick within eight minutes, as Shandong Luneng registered a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against Dalian Pro in the opening round of the Chinese Super League this year.

Chinese Super League which was planned to start in March, was suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The 32-year-old former Belgium midfielder scored with header in all three cases in the 79th, 83rd and 86th minutes to gave Shandong 3-1 lead. Later Shandong conceded another injury time, to win 3-2.

Dalian Pro which is managed by Rafael Benitez, took early lead through West Brom and Newcastle striker Salomon Rondonin 57′ and reduced margin during injury time through Marcus Danielson.

Fellaini, who joined Shandong in early Chinese Super League (CSL) 201-season, after six seasons with Manchester United. He had tested positive earlier this year.

As per reports in Chinese media in March, he had to be in isolation at Jinan hospital for infectious diseases, and recently returned to China before CSL.
