Man City 5-0 Norwich: De Bruyne, Ederson to reveive Premier League award

Man City 5-0 Norwich De Bruyne, Ederson to reveive Premier League award

Manchester City thumped Norwich 5-0 in their final Premier League game of the season yesterday.

A brace from Kevin De Bruyne and goals from Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez ensured a superb end to the campaign for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Norwich are already relegated and the gulf in class between the two sides was evident during the game.

De Bruyne reached a fantastic personal landmark of producing 20 assists in the Premier League in one season, a feat only matched by Thierry Henry.

Ederson claimed the Golden Glove award with his 16th clean sheet.

David Silva has played his last Premier League match for Manchester City. He was replaced by Bernardo Silva at 85th minute.

City will be disappointed with their overall campaign though. They would have wanted to defend the title after their lavish spending.

However, Liverpool ended up beating them to the title by 18 points in the end.

It will be interesting to see how City react this summer. They will look to add to their squad adequately and then come back snarling next year.

City have managed to overturn their Champions league ban as well and they will be desperate to make their mark in the Champions league this season.

They have a healthy lead over Real Madrid and they can progress to the next round of the competition with ease.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester City can win the Champions League this season. That would be a tremendous end to their season after the league disappointment.
