Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from the London club this month, and it appears that the striker is keen on joining Barcelona.

According to a report from Spanish publication Sport, the Gabon international is determined to play for the Spanish La Liga club during the second half of the season. Therefore, he is prepared to play for a nominal salary.

Barcelona are going through financial difficulties right now, and they cannot afford Aubameyang’s wages at Arsenal. The report from Sport claims that the player has agreed to play for practically nothing because of his admiration for the Spanish club.

However, it will be interesting to see whether Barcelona can offload the French winger Ousmane Dembele before the window closes.

The Frenchman has refused to sign a contract extension with the Spanish club, and he has been informed that he will have to find a new club for himself before the January transfer window closes.

Barcelona might not be able to accommodate both Dembele and Aubameyang on their wage bill, and it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman can secure an exit before today’s deadline.

Aubameyang could prove to be a useful short term addition for the Spanish club who are in need of attacking reinforcements.

The Arsenal striker has not been at his best this season, and a move away from the Premier League could give him a fresh start.

There is no doubt that the Arsenal striker is a top-class player on his day, and he could make a notable impact at Barcelona during the remainder of the season.
