Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to his former club AC Milan in 2020, following fruitful spells with Paris Saint-GermainManchester United and LA Galaxy. At the ripe old age of 39, the influential Swede is still going strong, having scored an impressive 15 goals in Serie A last season. Nevertheless, even an evergreen player like Ibrahimovic will have to hang up his boots someday. And super-agent Mino Raiola has revealed exactly what the veteran striker plans to do post his retirement.

Ibrahimovic could pursue the position of club director after his playing career comes to an end, as per Raiola. The 53-year-old agent sounded pretty confident while revealing his client’s future plans, even claiming that the Swedish international has it in him to elongate his illustrious career even further. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Raiola stated,

“We’ll see what Zlatan wants to do in June. He always decides year by year. There’s no rush. For sure, the day he won’t feel a key player for the team, Ibra will retire and start a new chapter as club director.”

Ibrahimovic’s surprise signing has played a monumental part in AC Milan’s recent resurgence. With the seasoned target-man leading their line, Milan finished second in the Italian top-flight last season, confirming their place in the Champions League after a whopping seven seasons.

Despite his impressive physique, Ibrahimovic has struggled with injuries in the recent past. However, if the Swede can maintain his fitness record, Raiola’s prediction will have to take a rain check for the foreseeable future.
