Arsenal want Renato Sanches transfer, Torreira agent provides an update on his future

Arsenal keen on Renato Sanches

Arsenal are thought to be monitoring the situation of Portuguese international Renato Sanches.

The 23-year-old had an impressive club campaign with Lille last year, and he has been outstanding in the European Championships for his country so far.

It is hardly surprising that his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League club.

According to reports, Arsenal have asked the French club to be kept informed of any developments surrounding the future of the talented young central midfielder.

The Gunners need to add more creativity and skill to their midfield, and Sanches could be a superb long term signing for them.

Swiss international Granit Xhaka is expected to join Roma, and the Portuguese international could be his replacement at the Emirates next season.

Torreira future likely to be sorted soon

Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira remains keen on an exit from Arsenal this summer.

The Uruguayan international’s agent has confirmed that clubs from France, Russia, and Spain have all him regarding the player. Still, Torreira wants to return to Italy and prove his worth again.

His agent has also revealed that Arsenal are prepared to consider his situation, and they will meet with the player’s representatives and sort out Torreira’s future this summer.

He said: “He wants to go back to Italy. They called me from France, Russia and Spain. But Lucas wants to embrace the Italian championship again to prove his worth again. Arsenal have understood the situation and will meet us”.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder had an impressive spell after joining the Gunners, but his form dipped within a couple of months, and he has been struggling ever since.

The Uruguayan international was sent out on loan at Atletico Madrid this past season, and the player is desperate for a fresh start.
