Zlatan Ibrahimovic who doest not have a clear picture for the next season, is getting better and younger with each passing day.
Ibra had arrived at Milan in January transfer, have secured Milan finishing sixth in Serie A. He surely had a great positive impact on AC Milan.
Zlatan scored two, as AC Milan picked up a 4-1 win over Sampdoria in the Italian league last night. Goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Rafael Leao along with Ibrahimovic, sealed the comfortable win for the away side.
Ibrahimovic has now scored 50 goals for AC Milan in total and he becomes the first player to score 50 goals each for the two Milan clubs.
The Swedish striker has been outstanding since moving to AC Milan in January and he has helped the club turn their form around.
It will be interesting to see if he stays at Milan next season. His contract will expire at the end of this season.
Speaking to the media after the game, Ibrahimovic claimed that he is ageing in reverse like Benjamin Button. He also revealed that he is only getting warmed up.
He said: “I’m like Benjamin Button, I’ve always been young, never old. Hopefully, I can keep on going like this with the strength to score, because at the end of the game I get tired, right? Because they say I’m old but I’m just getting warmed up.”
“I’ve played in Italy for seven of eight years and, as a striker, I know you don’t get many chances to score. So when you do, you have to make the most of them and score.”
There is no doubt that he is still a quality player who has a lot to offer. Milan should look to extend his deal beyond this summer.
He could prove to be a vital option for them next year as well. Also, his experience and winning habit could provide to be vital for the AC Milan dressing room.
