The Champions League is all set to return next month, and the remaining teams in the competition will look to battle it out for the ultimate crown of European football.

The tournament was suspended back in March in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. 

The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus and Bayern Munich are among the favourites to win the competition this season. However, the likes of Atletico Madrid cannot be written off just yet. Simeone’s side eliminated the holders earlier this season.

PSG, Leipzig, Atalanta and Atletico are already through to the Quarterfinals of the Champions League. 

The round of sixteen games will be played on the 7th and 8th of August behind closed doors so that the spread of the Coronavirus can be contained. 

The remaining games of the round of sixteen stages are Juventus vs Lyon, Manchester City vs Real Madrid, Bayern vs Chelsea, Barcelona vs Napoli. 

The Quarterfinals will be played in Lisbon between 12th and 15th of August, and the Semifinals will follow on the 18-19th of August in Lisbon as well. 

Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica will host the Champions League final this season on August 23. 

As per UEFA’s announcement, the quarter-final and semi-final draw will take place in Nyon on Friday.

It will be interesting to see who manages to win the Premier European competition this year. 

As for the Europa League, the dates are as follows – Quarter-finals: August 10 – August 11, Semi-finals: August 16 – August 17, Final: August 21. These games will be held in Cologne, Duisburg, Düsseldorf and Gelsenkirchen.

The remaining games of the Europa League RO16 will be played on 5 and 6 August by Man United, Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk, Wolverhampton, Basel and Copenhagen. Furthermore, the ties between Inter Milan-Getafe and Sevilla-Roma will be decided by a single knockout game.
