The Juventus duo has been sidelined for Wednesday’s game against Chelsea due to injuries, confirms Max Allegri.

Juventus forwards Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata have been ruled out of the Champions League game against Chelsea due to injuries.

Dybala picked up a muscle injury in the weekend Serie A game against Sampdoria not long after he scored a brilliant goal.

The Argentine left the pitch in tears and he was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski.

In addition to Dybala, Morata’s injury comes as a double blow for the Old Lady ahead of a tough Champions League encounter against Chelsea.

Juve boss Max Allegri confirmed that the star duo wouldn’t be available for the next two games.

The Italian boss said (h/t Football Italia): “Dybala and Morata certainly won’t play against Chelsea or Torino. That is for certain. We can only hope that we get them back after the break for international duty. This is part of the game, we have to keep going.”

Dybala has been pivotal for the Old Lady since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure and his absence would be a vital loss for the club. The Argentine forward has collected 2 goals and 2 assists in Serie A this season.

Besides, Morata has also been equally important to Allegri’s side after finding the nets three times this season.

After a stuttering start, the Bianconeri have got their rythm after back to back wins in Serie A including the one against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Moise Keane, Kulusevski and Federico Chiesa are expected to lead the attack against Thomas Tuchel’s side.
