- UEFA Champions League Round-of-32 Draw
- Arsenal and Manchester United get tough draws
- Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan will face easy sides
The UEFA Europa League round of 32 draw held on Monday and it provided some exciting draws.
Two-time Europa League winner Jose Mourinho has been drawn against minnows Wolfsberger, who have been one of the surprise teams of the tournament. The Portuguese who will be looking to land Tottenham’s first silverware in Europe, is considered as the competition’s favourite in many quarters.
Arsenal who recorded six wins in six group stage games have been handed a tough draw as they have been pitted against Portuguese giants Benfica. The Portuguese side finished second in their group behind Rangers who have been drawn against Royal Antwerp.
Manchester United who were demoted to the Europa League following their elimination from the Champions League face Spanish side Real Sociedad, who are currently leading the Spanish league. The Red Devils will be competing against some familiar faces in Adam Januzaj and David Silva, who are plying their trade at Sociedad at the moment.
Meanwhile, high-flying AC Milan were drawn against Serbian side Red Star Belgrade. Ibrahimovic and co. will look to continue their strong start to the season in the Europa League.
Leicester City making their second appearance in Europe in the past five years will tackle Czech Republic outfit Slavia Prague while Ajax are scheduled to take on Ligue 1 high flyers Lille.
Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli side have been drawn against Spanish side Granda while Real Madrid Champions league slayers Shakhtar Donetsk play Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv.
