Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar will look to win just their second league game of the season when they welcome WS Wanderers to the Dolphin Stadium this Sunday.

The hosts have played seven league games this season, but have tasted only one win, losing four and drawing two. With just five points on the board this season, they come into this tie sitting rock bottom in the table.

Their last outing was a 3-1 home loss to Adelaide United. Warren Moon’s side took an early lead in the game when Australian striker Nikola Mileusnic scored in the second minute.

But they could not hold on to their lead for long as Craig Goodwin equalised for the hosts in the 24th minute before second-half goals from Stefan Mauk, and Craig Goodwin secured the win for Adelaide United.

The result leaves Moon’s men with one win from their last eight games. They will be desperate to add another record to their win column by picking up maximum here.

After a fourth-place finish last season, they cannot afford to drop out of the playoff places this season.

Possible Brisbane Roar starting line-ups

Macklin Freke; Nicholas Olsen, Kai Trewin, Scott Neville, Jack Hingert; Jesse Daley, Ville Matti Steinman; Jay O’Shea, Alex Parsons, Nikola Mileusnic; Cyrus Dehmie.

Western Sydney Wanderers

Western Sydney Wanderers ended a three-game losing run last time out when they played out a 3-3 draw with Melbourne City

Carl Robinson’s men started the game brightly, scoring two goals inside the first nine minutes through James Troisi and Jack Rodwell. But Melbourne City equalised through a Dimitrios Petratos own-goal and a Jamie Maclaren strike in the first half.

In the second half, the defending champions took the lead through substitute Marco Tilo, but Keijiro Ogawa spared Wanderers’ blushes when he found the net in the 68th minute.

The result leaves Robinson’s men sitting in 10th, just one point ahead of their hosts and four behind Sydney FC in sixth.

They have won just one game this season (D3, L2) and have scored just seven goals all season.

However, five of those goals have come away from home, giving them the confidence that they will find the net in this game and perhaps take home the maximum points.

Possible Western Sydney Wanderers starting line-ups
