Hyderabad 3-2 East Bengal: East Bengal continue their winless run

Hyderabad FC picked up a 3-2 win over East Bengal in the Indian Super League earlier tonight.

Jacques Maghoma gave East Bengal their lead on the 26th minute. It was East Bengal’s first-ever goal in the history of the Indian Super League and the Kolkata giants did well to control the proceedings from then on.

Hyderabad FC got back into the game when they were awarded a penalty at the stroke of half time.

Yasir was brought down by Sehnaj inside the box but Hyderabad missed from the spot as Debjit saved Aridane Santana’s effort.

East Bengal went into half time with a 1- 0 lead but Hyderabad came back into the game strongly in the second half as Aridane Santana made up for his penalty miss with a quickfire brace around the hour mark.

Halicharan Narzary put Hyderabad 3-1 up on the 68th minute and East Bengal seemed destined for another defeat in the Indian Super League.

Jacques Maghoma brought the away side back into the game with a well-taken goal on the 81st minute but Hyderabad managed to hold onto their advantage and grind out a win in the end.

East Bengal have been in very poor form this season and Robbie Fowler will be under immense pressure to turn around his team’s form in the coming weeks.

East Bengal have failed to win a single League game so far and they have picked up just one point from 5 League matches.

They are 11th in the table right now and the fans will be expecting the players to step up and salvage some pride in the coming weeks.
