Leeds United 1-4 Leicester: Tielemans double put Foxes at second spot

Youri Tielemans-Leicester City

Leicester City picked up a 4-1 win over Leeds United in the Premier League earlier tonight at Elland Road.

The away side took the lead through Harvey Barnes two minutes into the game and Leeds United struggled to cope with their intensity at the start of the game.

Youri Tielemans doubled Leicester City’s advantage on the 21st minute.

Stuart Dallas gave the home side some hope with an early goal in the second half but Leeds United failed to capitalise on it and score the equaliser.

Jamie Vardy scored Leicester’s third goal of the game on the 76th-minute and Tielemans wrapped up the scoring with his second of the game in injury time.

Brendan Rodgers will be thoroughly pleased with his team’s performance against Leeds United and Leicester City will be hoping to challenge for European qualification this season.

They have already beaten the likes of Manchester City away from home and Leicester will be full of confidence right now.

As for Leeds United, they have started the season an impressive form but they will have to add more consistency to their game.

Marcelo Bielsa will be disappointed with the lacklustre display from his players tonight.

Leeds United have the quality to trouble Lester but they lacked determination an enthusiasm tonight.

It will be interesting to see if the players can step up and produce a positive reaction in the next game now.

The Whites are now 12th in the League table with 10 points.

Today’s win takes Leicester further up the table one point behind League leaders Liverpool.
