Tottenham Hotspur ensured three points as they beat Everton 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham and Everton both were in Champions League race after they brought high profile managers eyeing greater glory. Ancelotti and Mourinho had decorated past, Chelsea and Real Madrid being the common factors for the managers.

As the Premier League enters its last lap with five matchday remaining, it looks unrealistic and they can only try for UEFA Europa cup with top six finish. Though top four finish is till mathematically possible, with the judgement for Manchester City still pending at CAS, it may not be practically possible.

Tottenham vs Everton – Goals

The match had all the drama as Tottenham started slow. Toby Alderweireld started in place of Davidson Sanchez.

Argentinian Giovani Lo Celso started in first eleven and would surely be Mourinho’s man in the midfield. Relentless midfielder has won coach’s trust as he is seen every time giving his 100% on the field.

Le Celso almost score the the decider, when he was trying to take a turn and attempt on goal. But it hit Michael Keane and deflected to the back of the net.

Half-time Bust up between Lloris and Son

Half-time Bust up between Lloris and Son was in full display as it happened on the field while players were retreating for the break. We saw otherwise calm and composed Hugo Lloris agitated and charging towards Son Heung-min.

As he was clearing the air around the incident during post match interview, the Spurs captain looked very positive and motivated and looked to have full support of their manager.

I think in terms of our personal investment. It was much better than than the last game.

Obviously, we don’t have the right to lose more points anymore, so it’s important to have a run, to keep consistency into [our] performance. And tonight, 1-0 [scoreline] is enough.

Most important is we kept the clean sheet, and we made the effort together and we are not at your best in terms of confidence, you can see but we make their own we make the effort
