Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe in recent months.
The French attacker is approaching the final year of his contract and he is expected to leave this summer.
Apparently, Mbappe’s salary expectations are extremely high and Manchester City are unwilling to break their wage structure for him.
Giving in to the French international’s wage demands could cause damage to the harmony inside the dressing room and therefore City are prepared to focus on Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland as their attacking targets this summer.
Apparently Tottenham striker Harry Kane is on their radar as well.
All three players are expected to cost far less than Mbappe and they will have lesser wage demands as well.
Manchester City are in desperate need of a quality #9 this summer and the likes of Haaland, Lukaku and Kane would prove to be superb alternatives to Sergio Aguero who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Lukaku has been outstanding in the Italian League since his move from Manchester United and he will add pace, power and hold up play to the City attack.
Meanwhile, Haaland has proven himself to be one of the best finishers in world football right now and the Norwegian would be the ideal player to replace Aguero’s consistent goal return.
Harry Kane is undoubtedly the best striker in the Premier League and he is an excellent creator as well. He would probably the best option out of all three for Manchester City.
