Andre Silva steps up to guide Frankfurt to a crushing 5-1 win over Arminia

Luka Jovic-Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt picked up a 5-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga earlier tonight.

Andre Silva scored a brace to help his side to a convincing win.

The Portuguese international opened the scoring on the 25th minute after prodding home a cross from Filip Kostic.

Kostic turned from provider to scorer two minutes later with a thunderbolt from distance to double his side’s advantage.

Andre Silva added his second on the 33rd minute to put the game beyond Arminia.

Cordova scored on the 36th minute to get his side back into the game but an own goal from Nilsson five minutes into the second half wiped out any chance of a comeback.

On-loan striker Luka Jovic scored on the 75th minute to wrap up the scoring for Frankfurt.

Jovic has now scored his third goal in three games and he will be delighted with the way his return to Frankfurt has gone so far.

Meanwhile, Andre Silva is now the second top scorer in the league with 14  goals.

Frankfurt are up to sixth in the League table with 30 points and they could easily move into third place with a win in their next match.

Meanwhile, Arminia  are 15th in the League table just two points clear of the relegation zone and they will have to improve a lot if they want to beat the drop this season.
