Luka Jovic-Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt picked up a 3-1 win over Schalke a in the Bundesliga earlier tonight.

Andre Silva gave the home side their lead on the 28th minute but Schalke got back into the game just a minute later through Matthew Hoppe.

On-loan Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic gave Frankfurt their lead on the 72nd minute and then completed his brace in added time to secure all three points for Frankfurt.

Schalke have been in disastrous form this season and they have failed to win five of the last six League games.

They are at the bottom of the Bundesliga table with just seven points from 16 matches and they will have to improve immensely if they want to beat the drop this season.

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt are up to 7th in the League table after tonight’s win with 26 points from 16 matches and they will fancy their chances of challenging for the title this season.

Frankfurt are just three points adrift of third placed Bayer Leverkusen and they will be hoping to push for European qualification in the coming months.

Schalke will be under tremendous pressure to turn their form around in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see if the players can step up and deliver.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt will be hoping to close the gap with the top three in their coming weeks. It remains to be seen if they can build on this win and put together a winning run now.
