Freiburg 0-3 RB Leipzig: Visitors keep up the pressure on Bayern with fifth straight win

Emil Forsberg-RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig picked up a 3-0 win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga earlier tonight.

The win takes RB Leipzig above Bayern Munich in the League table.

The away side were in complete control throughout the game and they deserved to pick up all three points on the balance of play.

Christopher Nkunku scored the opening goal of the game on the 41st minute and the likes of Alexander Sorloth and Emil Forsberg wrapped up the scoring in the second half.

The home side were vulnerable at the back and they will be disappointed with the way they conceded the opening goal of the game.

Kevin Kampl pounced on a loose pass from Muller to set up Christopher Nkunku who stroked home from a close range.

Kampl was crucial to the second goal of the game as well when he picked up Christopher Nkunku completely unmarked in the box and the Frenchman selflessly set up Alexander Sorloth for the second goal of the game.

RB Salzburg forward Hwang Hee-Chan had the chance to score the third goal of the game but his effort was pushed behind by the Freiburg goalkeeper

Second-half substitute Emil Forsberg managed to wrap up the scoring with 11 minutes remaining on the board.

The Swedish midfielder directed a lay off from Alexander Sortloth into the back of the Freiburg net.

Rb Leipzig Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi managed to pull off a couple of important saves to preserve the clean sheet for his side and help them move a point above Bayern Munich.
