‘His development in Dortmund is far from over’: BVB director Michael Zorc rubbishes Jude Bellingham transfer talk

Jude Bellingham-Borussia Dortmund

Borrusia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has stated that Jude Bellingham‘s development at the club is far from over.

The Englishman is a transfer target of many of the top European teams, including Liverpool, who are the frontrunners for his signature. But Dortmund has insisted that the teenager who has spent just16 months in Germany will not leave BVB soon.

“When we signed Jude last year, many top clubs were interested in him,” Zorc told Sport Bild

“He made a conscious decision in favour of Borussia Dortmund and the concept that we presented to him. His development in Dortmund is far from over.

“His head is very clear, and he has a good environment that helps him put his rapid development into perspective. That Jude is already showing consistency in his achievements was not to be expected when we signed him.”

Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City in the summer of 2020 for a reported €23million and still has four years left on a bumper deal at the Westfalenstadion. He has played 62 games in all competitions for Dortmund and has scored seven goals.
