Bayern Munich picked up a 4-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga earlier tonight, and here at Anytime football, we look at the three major talking points from tonight’s contest.

Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting sealed a comprehensive win for the German champions away from home.

Unstoppable Leroy Sane

The former Manchester City winger was unplayable against RB Leipzig, and he continues to show that he is a force to be reckoned with when used in his natural role.

Julian Nagelsmann used him on the left side of his attack and RB Leipzig defenders could not handle his pace and directness.

The player has been used in other roles at times since moving to Bayern Munich, but he showed that the Germans need to play him in his regular position to get the best out of him.

The prodigious Jamal Musiala

The highly talented youngster was gliding with the ball against RB Leipzig tonight, and he is undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents across European football right now.

Musiala’s exceptional dribbling opened up the RB Leipzig defence time and again tonight, and he has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer.

Apart from his attacking contribution, he chipped in with a defensive work rate as well.

Robert Lewandowski needs a rest

The Polish international is undoubtedly the best striker in the world, but he missed quite a few opportunities he would have usually buried.

It is evident that Lewandowski is tired after the international break, and he needs a bit of rest to cope with the gruelling football schedule, especially with the Champions League clash against Barcelona coming up.
