Atletico Madrid in talks with Juventus over a potential Dybala deal

Dybala-McKennie-Juventus

The Argentine has been linked with an exit from the Old Lady.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly intensified their talks with Juventus over a potential summer move for Paulo Dybala, whose future is hanging in the balance.

The Argentine endured a torrid season in Serie A, which saw him go down the pecking order of rookie manager Andrea Pirlo. From winning the MVP award of the Italian top-flight in the 2019/20 season to running out of game time this season, Dybala’s career has reached new lows in no time.

Earlier, it was reported that Dybala is mulling over his future as he is yet to extend his contract, which will run out next year. As a result, top clubs in Europe were put on high alert.

The 27-year-old was also subject to transfer interest from Premier League clubs during the summer of 2019 when Bianconeri decided to sever ties with him. However, the move couldn’t materialise, and he went on to play a decisive role in the season that preceded.

Atletico, who have won the La Liga title this season, are planning for reinforcements this summer and Dybala is understood to be one of their top targets.

However, Los Rojiblancos are planning a swap deal to lure the Argentine from Turin with Angel Correa as the makeweight.

Correa has played a key role for Atletico in winning the title, and he is said to be the most trusted player of Simeone. Hence the chances are less for Correa to leave.

Alvaro Morata, who is currently on loan at Juve from Atletico, could be a better option in the swap deal as the Old Lady are keen on keeping the Spaniard either through an extended loan spell or permanent transfer.

Dybala would look for a new destination to revive his career unless he is ensured more game time at Juve.
