Huesca 0-1 Barcelona: Frenkie de Jong scores the first-half goal

Barcelona picked up a 1-0 win over Huesca in La Liga earlier tonight.

Frenkie de Jong scored the only goal of the game for Barcelona on the 27th minute. Lionel Messi set up the winning goal with a lovely cross and the Dutch midfielder found the net from the far post. 

Barcelona were thoroughly dominant and they could have easily scored more goals. 

They will be relieved to have picked up all three points despite missing loads of chances. 

Tonight’s win takes Barcelona up to 5th in the Spanish League standings they will be hoping to close the gap with Atletico Madrid in the coming weeks.

Ronald Koeman’s team have been quite mediocre this season and it will be interesting to see if they can get back into the title race.

Barcelona are one of the best teams in world football and they will be expected to win a trophy this season. Having lost out of the way last year the fans will be expecting their team to win it this year.

Barcelona are currently 10 points behind Atletico Madrid and they will have to improve a lot in order to win the Spanish League title this year.

Meanwhile, tonight’s defeat leaves Huesca at the bottom of the Spanish League table with twelve points from 17 League matches.

They will have to improve a lot in order to survive the drop this year.
