Newcastle United have reportedly made an offer to sign the Belgian superstar Eden Hazard from Real Madrid.

According to a report from Daily Mail, the Spanish giants have accepted an offer of around £33.4 million plus 8.3 million pounds in add ons from the Premier League club, but the 30-year-old is not keen on joining the magpies.

The 30-year-old has had a difficult time at Santiago Bernabeu since his move from Chelsea, and he has not been able to demonstrate his true potential because of injuries so far.

It is evident that the transfer has been an abject failure so far, and the Spanish club are thought to be keen on cutting their losses on the Belgian, who is on massive wages.

A move back to the Premier League could be ideal for the player, and a fresh start could help him regain his confidence and sharpness.

Philippe Coutinho had a similar situation at Barcelona, and the Brazilian has returned to the Premier League with Aston Villa. The 29-year-old was outstanding on his debut for the West Midlands club, and Hazard could have a similar resurgence with a return to the Premier League.

Apparently, the 30-year-old is not against leaving Real Madrid this month, but he wants to join a bigger club.

It will be interesting to see if other European clubs are willing to provide the Belgian international with an exit route.

Real Madrid are thought to be preparing for the arrival of Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer, and club president Florentino Perez wants to reduce the wage bill before the arrival of the World Cup winner.

Hazard would be an excellent signing for Newcastle if they manage to pull it off.

The Belgian played his best football in the Premier League with Chelsea, and he would add pace, flair and creativity to the Newcastle attack.

However, it will be interesting to see how Eddie Howe accommodates the Belgian international in his starting lineup, especially when Allan Saint-Maximin plays in a similar position to that of the Belgian.

It remains to be seen how the situation evolves over the next few weeks.
