French outfit Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign the Spanish international Sergio Ramos on a free transfer at the end of this season.
The defender is in the final year of his contract and Real Madrid have a policy of offering one-year extensions to players who are over 30 years of age.
However, the defender is demanding a two-year extension and it will be interesting to see if the La Liga giants give in to his demands.
According to reports, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain are willing to offer him a three-year contract worth around 20 million euros per season.
Sergio Ramos currently earns around 12 million euros net per year at Real Madrid and he is willing to extend on those terms if he is offered a two-year deal.
It will be interesting to see if the Spanish outfit can convince Ramos to continue at the club beyond this summer.
The Spaniard is a world-class player who has been one of the most influential figures in Real Madrid’s recent history and keeping him at the club should be a top priority for Florentino Perez.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint German have lost an experienced defender in Thiago Silva who opted to sign for Chelsea earlier in the summer.
The French outfit are missing his defensive qualities and leadership and the signing of Sergio Ramos could certainly fill that void.
Ramos has proven his quality on the pitch and his leadership abilities for his club and country over the years and he could prove to be an invaluable addition to the French club’s dressing room.
