Atletico Madrid picked up a 5-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga yesterday.

Diego Simeone’s men were outstanding from start to finish as the La Liga giants swept Osasuna aside.

The win leaves Atletico Madrid fourth in the table, two points clear of their nearest challengers. The Spanish outfit will be hoping to extend that gap and secure qualification for next season’ Champions League.

Joao Felix scored in either half for Simeone’s side and the likes of Marcos Llorente, Alvaro Morata and Yannick Carrasco added three more towards the end of the game to seal the three points.

The brace takes Felix’ goal tally to eight for the season. The first one was a complete blinder from top of the box. For second goal, Diego Costa provided the last minute ball for Felix who made no mistake.

Alvaro Morata’s goal on the 82nd minute was initially disallowed but VAR overturned the decision and awarded him his goal.

The defeat leaves Osasuna 11th in the league table. They will be looking to bounce back from this defeat against Valencia in their next game.

Though Koke did not get mentioning for a score, he was omnipresent. Heatmaps says he was practically everywhere during the match.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid will take on Valladolid in the next match.

The Spanish giants have done well in the Champions League so far and they will be determined to close the gap with their rivals in La Liga now.

Atletico managed to eliminate holders Liverpool in the last round of the Champions League.
