The Gunners have reportedly turned their attention towards the Portuguese star.

Arsenals search for a creative midfielder continues as they have been linked with a host of players.

Leicester City’s James Maddison is a top target for the Gunners, who cite the English man as a perfect fit for their style of play.

However, Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers appears to be reluctant to sell Maddison, especially when his side has just won the Community Shield and are aiming for a top-four finish in the upcoming season.

It has reportedly led the Gunners to turn their interest towards Bernardo Silva, who has been linked with an exit from Manchester City this summer.

Silva’s position at Etihad has been questioned after the arrival of Premier League‘s record transfer Jack Grealish.

Furthermore, City are open to selling the Portuguese star as they want to generate funds for the transfer of Harry Kane.

Even Cityzens manager Pep Guardiola admitted that Silva wants to leave the Etihad this summer and the situation would be sorted out soon, he added.

Now, Arsenal are said to be keeping tabs on Silva’s situation and could attempt to make a summer move.

However, the Gunners have to fend off giants like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Both are keen on his signing.

Gunners would have to fork out a fee no less than £45m for the transfer of the Portuguese star.

There is no doubt that the 26-year-old will add more value to Mikel Arteta’s side due to his versatility to play in different positions; however, it remains to be seen whether they can meet City’s demands.
