The French World Cup winner has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, who had made an audacious 180m euros bid to Paris Saint-Germain for his signings.

Reports also stated that Les Parisiens were ready to accept the offer as they don’t want to lose the French World Cup winner for free when his contract expires next summer.

However, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is confident that Mbappe would stay put at Parc Des Princes this season while emphasising his importance to the club.

The Argentine boss said: “Mbappé is our player. The football industry is full of rumours. Our president and Leonardo are very clear. He is here with us and I am very happy to have him. He is one of the best, he is a gift.”

Pochettino’s comments come straight after PSG’s comprehensive win against Reims in Ligue 1 where Mbappe netted a double.

The 22-year-old, perhaps, has racked up 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 Ligue 1 games this season.

Although it looked Mbappe might end up staying in the French Capital club beyond the summer, Madrid came knocking on the door out of nowhere.

The Spanish giants had a first bid worth 160m euros turned down by Les Parisiens but they were persistent enough to come up with an improved offer worth 180m euros.

While various reports suggest that Mbappe could join Los Blancos in the final week of the transfer window, a set of reports claim that PSG aren’t still satisfied with Madrid’s offer.
