Manchester United are interested in signing the Leicester midfielder Wilfried Ndidi this summer.
Ndidi is one of the best defensive midfielders in the league currently and it is no surprise that the top clubs want to sign him.
Solskjaer needs reinforcements in that area and Ndidi would be ideal. Matic is past his peak and he will need to be replaced soon.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can agree on a fee with Leicester for the player.
He is a key player for the Foxes and he won’t come cheap. The Red Devils will have to fork out a premium for his services.
If Ndidi joins Manchester United, he will surely improve them a lot.
United need players of his quality to challenge for the title.
Ndidi would allow the creative players like Pogba and Bruno to operate with more freedom and he will add defensive cover for the centre backs.
The likes of Liverpool and City have invested in top class defensive midfielders recently and they have reaped rewards of that.
In modern football, a defensive midfielder is a crucial and specialist role and United must look to being in a top class player for that position.
Ndidi would be tempted if United come calling. However, United must look to secure Champions league football for the next season if they want to sign top quality players this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are all set to step up their efforts to sign Jack Grealish.
The Aston villa star has been in red hot form this season and he would add goals and assists to Solskjaer’s side.
United were keen on Jadon Sancho but Dortmund have asked them to wait for another year.
It seems that United want to bring in Grealish as an alternative.
It will be interesting to see if they can agree on a fee with Villa nnw.
Dean Smith’s side could be relegated this season and it seems likely that Grealish will move on.
Old Trafford would be the ideal destination for him to further his career.
The English playmaker could cost around £75m.
