Antonio Conte has recently been appointed as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur and it seems that the decision from the London club has affected Jose Mourinho.

According to a report from Daily Express, the former Tottenham manager is unhappy with Tottenham’s decision to appoint Conte as the new manager.

The two managers share a bitter rivalry and they have clashed multiple times during their time together in the Premier League.

Conte’s wild celebrations after beating a Jose Mourinho managed Manchester United side prompted a backlash from the Portuguese manager and the two have exchanged hostilities ever since.

Mourinho has labelled Conte as a “crazy guy” in the past and Antonio Conte hit back by labelling the former Spurs manager as a “little man”.

Mourinho is currently managing Italian club Roma who have failed to win six of the last seven games across all competitions and Daily Express are claiming that Conte’s appointment at the Premier League club has affected Mourinho mentally and that is the reason behind his recent struggles at Roma.

The Italian side started the season really well under Mourinho but they have been abysmal in recent weeks. It will be interesting to see if they can turn things around quickly.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see if Conte can succeed with Tottenham Hotspur this season.

Given the situation now, a top-four finish would be a quality achievement for the Italian manager and he would certainly surpass Jose Mourinho’s contributions at Tottenham if he managed to secure Champions League qualification with Spurs this season.
