Arsenal are keen on signing the Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby this summer.
As per Le 10 Sport, Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on the winger as well. Diaby has done well in the Bundesliga so far and he would be a handy option for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal could use some extra depth in their attack and someone like Diaby would be the idea addition. He isn’t likely to cost a lot and he won’t demand regular game time either.
His arrival will allow Arsenal to switch things up and keep their first team players fresh every now and then. It will be interesting to see if the Gunners can agree on a fee with Leverkusen now.
The German outfit will look to make a profit if they are forced to sell Diaby this summer. Leverkusen paid around €15m for the player and they will want double of that.
In today’s market, €30m doesn’t seem excessive and Arsenal certainly have the means to afford that.
The chance to play in the Premier League is tempting for most players and therefore Diaby is likely to be interested in the Gunners come calling.
It will be interesting to see if the Londoners submit an offer for the player in the coming weeks.
Leverkusen will want the other suitors to be involved as well so that a bidding war can be initiated. It would help them drive up the price.
Diaby has four goals to his name in the league this season.
