Arsenal Transfers: Victor Osimhen and Gabriel Jesus on Arteta’s radar

Victor Osimhen-Napoli

Osimhen linked with summer move

Arsenal are keen on improving their attacking options at the end of the season and the Gunners have lined up a summer move for the Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The 23-year-old is one of the most coveted young forwards around Europe right now and he could prove to be a quality long term acquisition for Mikel Arteta.

According to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Premier League side have already initiated steps to bring the 23-year-old to the London club next season and it’ll be interesting to see if they can convince Napoli to accept a reasonable fee for their prized prospect.

Osimhen could be the ideal replacement for the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang next season.

Gabriel Jesus on Arsenal’s radar

Meanwhile Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is a target for the Londoners as well.

The 25-year-old has refused to commit his future to the Premier League giants beyond this season and his representatives have had talks with Arsenal in recent weeks.

The player said to Guardian: “It’s not time to think about this. You expect me to say this, but it’s true. Now is the best moment of the season. I want to enjoy, to keep focused on my team”.

Jesus has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth at Manchester City and Arsenal could certainly provide him with the platform he needs right now.

The 25-year-old could prove to be a quality long term acquisition for the corners and he would be an upgrade on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette next season.
