West Ham United are interested in signing the Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

According to a report from the Sun, the England international will cost around £60 million, and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers are willing to spend that kind of money on the 24-year-old striker.

Calvert-Lewin has had a disappointing season with Everton so far, and his performances have been affected because of persistent injury problems.

However, the 24-year-old is highly rated in the Premier League, and he has a bright future ahead of him.

West Ham could definitely use a proven goal scorer, and Calvert-Lewin seems like an ideal fit for them.

David Moyes has had to rely on Michail Antonio for goals over the past year, and although Antonio has done an impressive job with the Hammers, the West Ham star is not a natural striker, and he’s more suited to a broad role.

The arrival of a top-class striker would allow Antonio to play in his natural role, and it can only benefit the squad as a whole.

Everton are going through a tough time right now, and they have recently sacked manager Rafael Benitez after a dismal start to the campaign.

It will be interesting to see if West Ham can lure the 24-year-old striker away from Goodison Park at the end of this season.

The Hammers have been exceptional this season, and they have a great chance of qualifying for European football.

Calvert-Lewin has the quality to succeed at the top club, and playing European football with West Ham could be a tempting proposition for the striker.

If Everton cannot provide him with the platform to fulfil his ambitions, the striker might well look to leave Goodison Park in the near future.
