Atalanta are considering a summer swoop of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who appears to have no place under Thomas Tuchel.

According to reports, the Serie A giants are looking to rival Arsenal for the signing of Abraham, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Atalanta have identified the 23-year-old as a potential replacement for Duvan Zapata, who is said to be targeted by Scudetto winners Inter Milan.

Inter could part ways with their star striker Romelu Lukaku for a whopping transfer fee, with Chelsea looking keen on his signing.

The report also adds that Atalanta are ready to offer Londoners around £25m plus bonuses for the signing of Abraham.

The English striker has had a productive 2019/20 season under Frank Lampard, amassing a total of 15 goals in the Premier League.

However, the following season witnessed a significant dip in his performance. Eventually, he fell down the pecking order of Thomas Tuchel, the German manager who led the Blues to the Champions League glory.

Abraham is keen on moving away from Stamford Bridge this summer, and fellow Londoners Arsenal have registered an interest in him.

The Gunners are in the market for attacking reinforcements and are said to have identified the former Aston Villa loanee as a top target.

Now, Atalanta’s interest comes as a massive blow to Mikel Arteta’s side as the Italian side looks to have the edge by providing Abraham Champions League football.

Abraham can improve his standards under Italian mastermind Gian Piero Gasperini, who has brought a handful of stars into the spotlight in recent seasons.
