Aubameyang’s Agent blames Arteta’s tactics for Gunners scoring problems

Arsenal 4-0 Norwich Arsenal moved to seventh spot

The agent of Arsenal striker Aubameyang has appeared to blame his client’s lack of goals on the tactics Arteta is employing at the Emirates.

The agent of the 31-year-old, Kwaku Mensah, took to Instagram after Arsenal’s loss to Tottenham on Sunday to suggest that Aubamanyang’s goal drought was down to a lack of chances created by the Gunners.

Arsenal have been poor this season after taking just 13 points from their last eleven games in the league. The poor form has left them 15th on the table and with their worst league start in 39 years.

The Gunners woes has been brought about by perhaps their toothlessness in front of goal. The London side are one of the least scoring sides in the league this season, with ten goals in eleven games. Only the teams in the relegation zone have scored less than the Gunners.

Arsenal were better in front of goal last season on their way to an FA Cup win, with their Gabonese striker contributing 22 goals in the league season.

But in his 11 appearances this season, Aubameyang has only scored just two goals, while his strike partner Alexandre Lacazette has only scored three.

And now, rather than blame his client for a poor record in front of goal, Mensah has appeared to point the finger at Arteta and his tactics at Arsenal. The agent posted stats on Instagram with the caption ‘if you create chances…’ to suggest that Arsenal’s poor record in front of goal was not down to his client’s inability to score.

The Gunners loss to Tottenham saw them only manage just two shots on target all game while they have only managed 32 all season – the third-worst in the league.
