Bruno Fernandes in talks with Leeds winger Raphinha regarding Manchester United move

Raphinha-Leeds United

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing the Leeds United winger Raphinha.

According to the Sun, the Red Devils were in contact with the Brazilian winger during the summer transfer window but their plans changed drastically when Cristiano Ronaldo was made available by Juventus.

The report from Sun adds that Manchester United could go back in for the Leeds star when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Premier League club are now hoping that Bruno Fernandes can help then secure the signing of the Leeds winger because of his connection with the player.

Fernandes played alongside Raphinha at Sporting Lisbon and the two players have a close bond with each other on and off the pitch.

Apparently, Bruno Fernandes is locked in private talks with the player.

The Manchester United midfielder has previously revealed his admiration for the Brazilian and he explained that he has a unique chemistry with Raphinha on the pitch and the two players understand each other exceptionally well.

Fernandes said: “I miss Raphinha. “He is a player with whom I had a different chemistry from the others, he understood me at a glance.”

Manchester United signed a quality winger in Jadon Sancho during the summer transfer window and the Red Devils could definitely use another quality winger for the other flank.

Raphinha has proven his quality in English football with Leeds and he is undoubtedly one of the most exciting attackers in the Premier League right now.

The Brazilian will add pace, flair and creativity from the wide areas. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can agree on a fee with Leeds and secure the 24-year-old’s services in the coming months.
